Chair Chan called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m.

2024 Youth Leadership Summit Presentation  
Karina Alvarez from the Office of Children and Families Policy (OCFP) with the County of Santa Clara  
presented on the 2024 Youth Leadership Summit. Members were encouraged to sign up and attend on  
their own if they are interested in the event.

Subcommittee Updates  
The College and Career, Cultural Diversity and Health and Wellness, Marketing and Outreach, and  
Teen-Friendly Business Award Subcommittees provided an update on workplan items.  
Find Your Fit: Teen Career Day Event Feedback  
YAC members provided feedback on the Find Yout Fit: Teen Career Day event. Overall, the feedback was  
positive, although members wished more teens attended. Members hope to improve upon the following  
items next year: more interaction with panelists, different careers, and more interaction among teens.

Teen Week 2024  
Recreation Coordinator, Lauren Eck, provided an update on Teen Week events and committee members  
discussed marketing strategies.

COMMITTEE/STAFF COMMENTS, QUESTIONS, COMMITTEE REPORTS  
Recreation Coordinator, Lauren Eck, provided an update on the 2024-25 YAC applications and acceptance  
timeline. 43 applications were received in total.

Chair Chan adjourned the meeting at 5:38 p.m.
