3. APPROVE MINUTES

Recommendation:  
Approve the August 21, 2023 minutes.

4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC  
This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons wishing to address the Committee on any matter not  
on the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes. State law prohibits the Committee from acting on  
non-agenda items.  
5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS - None.  
6. NEW BUSINESS  
6.1  
City Staff will provide a presentation of the Brown Act and Robert’s Rules of Order to Committee members.  
Committee members will work on the 2023-24 Youth Advisory Committee Work Plan.  
Committee members will discuss the Teen Wellness Retreat event.  
City Staff will remind members of the upcoming Celebration of Service held Tuesday, September 19, 5:30-7  
p.m. at the Mountain View Community Center Redwood Hall.

Recommendation:  
Committee members will elect the 2023-24 Youth Advisory Committee leadership  
positions - Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary.  
7. COMMITTEE/STAFF COMMENTS, QUESTIONS, COMMITTEE REPORTS  
No action will be taken on any questions raised by the Committee at this time.

ADDRESSING THE COMMITTEE  
Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair.  
Anyone wishing to address the Committee on a nonagenda item may do so during the "Oral Communications" part of the agenda.  
Speakers are allowed to speak once on any number of topics for up to three minutes.
