the surrounding design features and amenities (not just the courts), some of the impacts to Cuesta and for
staff to comment on the pros/cons of alternative concepts and areas mentioned tonight, including Cuesta
Annex and Terra Bella.
Commissioner Mitchner seconded with a friendly amendment that the amenities include a couple of dog run
scenarios. Commissioner
Mitchner withdrew his amendment and second. The motion was not voted on.
M/S Filios/Sommer - To forward to Council Concept A3 and include recommended enhancements to the park
and relocate the off-leash dog area without reducing other turf areas of Cuesta Park.
Chair Sommer made a friendly amendment to edit the enhancement list to be more detailed, including
rehabilitating unusable space by raising the level of the amenity of the green space to make up for the loss of
the bowl by creating new planting spaces and native plantings including large scale, denser native or
pollinator expanses. Chair Sommer withdrew the amendment.
Chair Sommer made a friendly amendment to include the following: the intention of them being large scale,
expansive, substantial and including rehabilitation. The amendment was not accepted.
Commissioner Filios made a friendly amendment to reword the motion as follows: to forward to Council
Concept A3 and as part of the conceptual design phase for the Pickleball Courts, also develop conceptual
