5. NEW BUSINESS  
Public Safety Building, Project 20-49  
5.1  
Recommendation:  
Review the proposed Heritage tree mitigation for Public Safety Building, Project 20-49,  
and forward a recommendation to the City Council to approve the mitigation of forty  
(40) Heritage trees at a 2:1 replacement ratio, with the planting of eighty (80) 24” box  
trees within the project site.

Recommendation:  
Senior Management Analyst Lindsay Wong will provide a presentation regarding  
updates on current projects utilizing Park Land Funds and the recommended  
commitments from the Park Land Fund to future Capital Improvement Program  
projects for the Fiscal Year 2026-27.  
Recent Park Design Evaluation  
Recommendation:  
Assistant Community Services Director Brenda Sylvia will lead a discussion with PRC  
members on the development of an evaluation process for new parks.

No action will be taken on any questions raised by the Commission at this time.

Interested persons are entitled to speak on any item on the agenda and should make their interest known to the Chair.  
Anyone wishing to address the Commission on an item not on the agenda may do so during the "Oral Communications" part of the agenda.  
Speakers are allowed to speak once on any number of topics for up to three minutes. For any agenda item or for Oral Communications on  
nonagenda items, if there appears to be a large number of speakers, the Chair may reduce speaking time to no less than 1.5 minutes per speaker  
unless there is an objection from the Commission by majority vote.  
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.3(b)(1), at least twice the allotted speaking time will be provided to a member of the public who  
utilizes a translator.
