Heritage Tree Removal Application Appeal-151 Calderon Avenue

Urban Forest Manager Russell Hansen and Assistant City Attorney presented a report and answered the

Commission's questions. City Attorney Jennifer Logue answered the Commission's questions.

M/S Filios/Sommer - To approve the resolution with the following amendments:

-Remove "and the Heritage Trees may be removed pursuant to the Heritage Tree Removal Permit" from

paragraph five

-Add "issuance of a Heritage Tree removal permit is required in order to comply with" from paragraph six

-Remove "removal of the Heritage Tree is consistent with" and "and meets the criteria for removal under

Mountain View City Code Section 32.35 (a)(2)" from paragraph six

2026 Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting Schedule

Community Services Director John Marchant presented a report and answered the Commission's

questions.

M/S Filios/Bryant - To approve the proposed 2026 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting schedule

with the following amendment:

-update the November meeting date to November 4, 2026.

Community Services Director Marchant provided an update on Monster Bash.

Chair Davis announced the PRC has a vacant seat.

Commissioner Bryant asked a question regarding replacing the dead trees on Castro across from the train

station with an Oak or something with a large canopy.
