Recommendation:  
Recently, the Chair of the Council Policies and Procedures Committee (CPPC)  
expressed interest in having the CPPC consider changes to Policy A-13, City Council  
Meetings, to clarify procedures related to Council Study Sessions (Section 14).

As written, Council Policy A-16 does not reflect Council’s current practice regarding  
the role of the State and Federal Legislative Platform or taking positions on matters of  
foreign policy and international affairs.
