Librarians from the Youth, Bookmobile, and Collections division presented information on collections,  
programs and services.

Library Director's Report  
8.1  
Director Tracy Gray gave an update on Shaping Our Library of Tomorrow presentation that was shared at the  
Library’s staff day, and the Library’s action plan, which focuses on continuous improvements in support of  
the City Council’s goal of Organizational Strength and Good Governance.  
Director Gray provided an update about the regional consortium director’s meeting, which focused on funding  
from IMLS and the California State Library. There weren’t any new updates on budget changes. California  
Library Association lobbyist that wrote News from the Capital memo. They are working to write letters to  
legislators about IMLS funds and the impact that cuts are having on libraries.  
Reminder that the City update is this Wednesday. The Library will have an informational booth.
