Middlefield and Moffett Sewer Replacement, Project 22-42-Various Actions
Recommended Action
1. Approve plans and specifications for the Middlefield and Moffett Sewer Replacement, Project 22-42, and authorize staff to advertise the project for bids.
2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to award the construction contract to the lowest responsive responsible bidder if the bid is within the total project budget of $10,440,000.
3. Find that in accordance with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements, Middlefield and Moffett Sewer Replacement, Project 22-42, is categorically exempt as Class 2, Replacement or Reconstruction, under CEQA Guidelines (Title 14, Division 6, Chapter 3, Article 3 of the California Code of Regulations), Section 15302(c).
4. Authorize the City Manager or designee to amend the professional services agreement with BKF Engineers, a California corporation (Entity No. 599256), for Middlefield and Moffett Sewer Replacement, Project 22-42, increasing compensation by $73,000 for additional design services, for a total amount not to exceed $700,000.
5. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute a professional services agreement with Tanner Pacific, Inc., a California corporation (Entity No. 3876190), to provide construction management and inspection services for Middlefield and Moffett Sewer Replacement, Project 22-42, in a not-to-exceed amount of $635,000.
