Recommended Action

1.                     Forward a recommendation to City Council for the attached Community Garden Guidelines to be implemented for all three community gardens:  The Willowgate Garden, Senior Garden, and Latham Community Garden.

2.                     Forward a recommendation to City Council to update garden fees for Community Gardens as shown in Figure 1 of the report.

3.                     Forward a recommendation to City Council to allow for up to 10 plots at Latham Community Garden to be short-term plots for a maximum term of one year.

4.                     Forward a recommendation to City Council to implement a financial assistance program for gardeners at Latham Community Garden where eligible garden members will pay the senior discounted rate.
