Civil Discourse: A Training on How to Have Civil Conversations About Important Community Issues
Negative, destructive and confrontational approaches to communicating seem to be the norm today, creating division and inhibiting practical problem solving in our country. The Civil Discourse movement is aimed at reviving civility in our public discourse and addresses the need to change the tone of our current politics.
Facilitator:

Engage in a community training and conversation to:
-Learn about civil discourse techniques you can apply to many important community issues, in person, and even online.
-Learn techniques that enable productive conversations with people of differing points of view, and work collaboratively towards agreement.
-Practice civil discourse techniques, using the current community issue of affordable housing (including the issue of housing insecurity and homelessness).
